Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack
YOUR TEAM
This is an opportunity to be considered for multiple roles across different departments. Based on your skills, experience, and interests, you may be matched with one of two teams, where you can make an immediate impact.
Population Health team:
This team is dedicated to transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive population health management and improve member outcomes. We strive to enhance foundational data and expand Care app experience through innovative data solutions and collaborative partnerships.
Program team:
This team builds a data platform and a suite of UI applications used by healthcare payers and providers to improve patient care and reduce costs via the operation of value-based programs. The program team is responsible for the logic of our customers’ value-based programs and for exposing results and operational data via an application suite (existing) and data warehouse (future). The team is comprised of a cross-functional group of analysts and software developers.
YOUR OPPORTUNITIES
Build products that change the dynamics and incentives of the healthcare industry, changing a zero-sum game of competition between payers and providers into patient-centered collaboration
Own the technical success of our contract performance application and related data and APIs
Set the bar for quality - drive the adoption of best practices and testing/coding standards
Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation
Partner closely with health data analysts, financial analysts, and actuaries to deeply understand our domain and develop effective insights
You’ll mentor more junior engineers and, in turn, learn from more senior engineers, because we are learners, not knowers, and growing Nuna’s people is the most reliable way to scale our impact
You’ll work as part of a team, not in a silo. At Nuna we rise by lifting others!
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 8+ years of experience
Able to independently guide projects from beginning and end including technical design and leading other engineers with a high level of autonomy

Experience building production-hardened web services, with consideration for security, performance, scalability, reliability, and repeatability
Experience with API design that lets us build composable APIs and libraries to solve many different needs
Experience rapidly prototyping new product concepts, especially for enterprise clients
