YOUR TEAM
Nuna’s product offerings enable delivery of value-based care contracts, at scale across the United States. Value-based healthcare aims to shift reimbursement from fee-for-service to fee-for-value where providers are incentivized to deliver higher quality care to their patients at a lower cost. It is incredibly difficult to operationalize value-based arrangements due to the variability in both contract configurations and measurement of health outcomes. The Value Platform teams are creating a scalable platform to accurately and efficiently implement complex value-based care programs.
YOUR OPPORTUNITIES
In this role, you will:
Build products that change the dynamics and incentives of the healthcare industry, changing a zero-sum game of competition between payers and providers into patient-centered collaboration
Form deep partnerships with a cross-functional team of analysts, engineers and product managers
Manage our high stakes production environment, ensuring high availability/low latency and protecting our sensitive data with rigorous security
Play a significant leadership role to influence Nuna’s product strategy
Work as part of a team, not in a silo - at Nuna, we rise by lifting others!
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
8+ years of software engineering experience
Demonstrated success leading a team’s technical vision and driving large cross-team initiatives
Eagerness to dive deep and become a healthcare data expert
Experience building production-hardened data platforms, with consideration for performance, scalability, reliability, and repeatability
Experience rapidly prototyping new product concepts, especially for enterprise clients
Knowledge of database fundamentals like indexing and SQL queries
Experience managing production services and designing smooth deployment processes, ideally in AWS
Strong oral and written communication skills, keen attention to detail and deadline driven
Preferred Qualifications
Domain experience working with healthcare data paired with a passion to connect with, understand, and shape the healthcare industry
Experience with Hadoop and Spark
Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect
Technologies used at Nuna
Python, Scala, SQL, testing tools (e.g. pytest), build tools (Bazel, poetry)
Spark, Prefect, JupyterHub, Kubernetes
Linux, OS X
AWS ECS, RDS, IAM, Lambda; Hashicorp Terraform and Vault
We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position is $165,000 to $230,000. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
