Our Product Operations Team is looking for an operations professional to play a pivotal role in the execution of our product development lifecycle, including ideation, development, launch, growth and sunset, with heavy focus on go-to-market (GTM) readiness and launch management. If you’ve built processes in a Product organization and have expertise managing product launches, this role may be a good fit for you.
As a Launch Manager, you will work closely with product leaders, product managers, and key stakeholders across the entire enterprise to improve the way we work by building processes and systems which make the Workiva Product organization a great place to work.
What You’ll Do
Go-to-Market Readiness:
Identify best practices and implement scalable and standard launch management standards to ensure consistency of launch management with internal stakeholders and partners
Enable Go-to-Market process by driving high-priority product launch activities
Collaborate with various teams, such as marketing, sales enablement, product management, customer success, etc. to ensure seamless execution of a product launch plan. This includes coordinating timelines, deliverables, success metrics, and resources
Ensure success of the product launch by tracking key performance indicators and conducting post-launch evaluations
Drive transparency and accountability of launch initiatives with effective reporting, communications, stakeholder engagement and management practices
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with product, pricing, marketing, customer experience teams, and other relevant departments to manage product and feature releases effectively
Performance Measurement:
Develop KPIs and metrics with leadership to track incremental progress and direction towards initiatives, ensuring success by monitoring key performance indicators post-launch
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
Develop and implement a comprehensive launch management communications strategy to drive transparency, accountability, and stakeholder engagement. This includes delivering high-impact presentations to senior management
Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
Identify and mitigate issues, risks, and dependencies throughout the product life cycle. Create change management plans to ensure successful implementation and adoption of new processes
Efficiency and Process Optimization:
Oversee tools and processes to streamline operations and drive efficiency. Establish appropriate processes to maintain alignment and continuity in a rapidly evolving environment
What You’ll Need
Minimum Qualifications
6+ years successfully leading and delivering highly-visible strategic programs in cross-functional work environments
Bachelor’s degree; an advanced degree may be considered in lieu of professional experience
Experience in the SAAS industry with previous roles in Strategy & Operations, Product Management, Product Marketing, or Launch Management
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to implement at a strategic level and also roll up the sleeves and do the work; easily able to shift from one context to the other
Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to lead multiple projects
simultaneously
Exceptional program management skills
Ability to influence key stakeholders, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines
Demonstrated communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate
effectively to executives, management, and teams in both one-on-one and group settings
Working knowledge of formal change management and decision-making frameworks
Experience with JIRA/Jira Align/Confluence as well as Roadmap and Project Management productivity tools such as ProductBoard, Asana, and Monday.com
Product analytics, data analysis
Facilitation of goal setting, KPIs and success metric formation and tracking
Travel Requirements & Working Conditions
Up to 15% travel
Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office
How You’ll Be Rewarded
✅ Salary range in the US: $120,000.00 - $204,000.00
✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package
The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant factors.
