Occupy a unique position in the market, as a Junior Front End Developer to join the Onsite Marketing team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating exceptional user experiences through innovative front end development. As a Junior Front End Developer, you will collaborate with our onsite, design, brand, UX and engineering teams to translate UI/UX design wireframes into high-quality code. You will also be responsible for optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring the responsiveness of web applications across various platforms and devices.
Develop new user-facing features and interfaces based on UI/UX design wireframes and mockups.
Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Collaborate with other team members, including designers and backend developers, to implement front end solutions.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and cross-browser compatibility. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Participate in creative and code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure the highest quality of code.
Own the performance and usability of web applications: Page testing, bug fixing and troubleshooting
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve front end development practices.
What will help you succeed
+1 year of Drupal experience: looking for candidates with experience using Drupal as a development end user: content editing and page management.
Familiarity with diagnosing, debugging, and working around browser runtime issues, including cross-browser compatibility bugs.
Web development in HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript.
HTML 5, including best practices, semantic elements.
CSS: Familiarity with flex box and CSS grid.
Vanilla JavaScript: Familiarity with ES6+ (to ES2018 or so), DOM manipulation.
JSON: Familiarity with JSON, and ability to find and debug simple problems in JSON.
Performance: Some familiarity or curiosity about debugging page speed performance issues like image optimization and SEO techniques
