The Role
Bitly is looking for an Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to join our People Team! This role will be an integral partner on our team and manage the coordination of activities for the HR function. The HR Coordinator will provide a high level of teamwork, collaboration, and interaction with all levels of employees, including members of our Global Leadership Team (GLT), and will focus on delivering an exceptional experience for all employees and teammates. This role will require someone who is incredibly organized, with excellent communication skills, and who can work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for someone who has the ability to support a global employee population in the US and throughout Europe. Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential HR related topics.
What You'll Do
Partner with the Manager and Sr. Director, Total Rewards & People Operations on updating and maintaining employee records and files in our HRIS system (BambooHR)
Benefits Administration: process new hire enrollments and terminations, audit files from our benefit providers, and create day to day process documentation
Participate in compliance activities, including proper record-keeping for labor law requirements, policy updates or audits
Partner with Manager, Total Rewards & People Operations on Leave of Absences administration
Administer background checks and conduct employee verifications
Ensure the Finance department has accurate and timely information to process payroll as needed
Collect I-9 documentation and input new hires in E-verify; run new hire reports and conduct I-9 internal reviews to ensure all new hire I-9s are completed
Prepare and send a monthly company-wide People Newsletter to the company
Prepare Town Hall content on behalf of the HR team
Act as a liaison between Recruiting and Learning & Development to ensure smooth onboarding for all new hires, including new hire communications and support
Assist in creating and maintaining various reports and metrics within the HRIS and other HR systems
Work closely with the HR team to support the planning and execution of our intern program
Support calendar and event management for all members of the HR team
Various ad hoc administrative and project responsibilities, as assigned
In partnership with the broader People team, incorporate diverse, equitable and inclusive best practices in every aspect of the coordination process
Who You Are
1-2 years of HR work experience
Highly motivated and excited to collaborate with others
Excellent attention to detail
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, tenacious and scrappy
