Pantheon is looking for a Health Informatics Data Analyst and Task Lead to work with large public datasets using SAS, R, Python and other tools to manage and implement an automated and manual data delivery workflow that involves harmonization, file construction, publication analytics, and quality control.
Job Responsibilities
Data Analysis: Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA), descriptive statistics, and basic predictive modeling to identify trends, patterns, and key insights in healthcare data.
Collaboration: Work closely with senior data scientists, analysts, and healthcare professionals to understand project requirements, deliver analytical reports, and support decision-making.
Leadership: Provide direction to junior analysts working on the task; manage schedule and quality of work.
Data Visualization: Create clear and compelling data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders, including policymakers and healthcare providers.
Report Writing: Assist in preparing high quality 508 compliant technical reports, presentations, and documentation to summarize the results of analyses.
Required Skills and Characteristics
Excellent communicator with an ability to effectively engage in a technical conversation oriented to maximize business value
Is comfortable working in the weeds, but is also comfortable coming up for air and understanding the big picture
Able to communicate in person and in writing without relying on generative AI
Experience with healthcare data formats and models including ICD-10, OMOP, USCDI, etc.
Experience with healthcare data analytics
Experience with healthcare data interoperability using HL7 FHIR
Experience with analyzing complex sampling survey data
Proficiency with SAS
Proficiency with Stata, R, and/or Python
Proficiency with Databricks, AWS Glue, or similar
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
Authorization to work in the United States
Ability to obtain a public trust clearance and pass a background check
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Health Informatics or Data Science from an accredited educational institution based in the United States
