There are more than 700,000 active installations of Grafana around the globe, monitoring everything from beehives to climate change in the Alps. The instantly recognizable dashboards have been spotted everywhere from a SpaceX launch and Minecraft HQ to Wimbledon and the Tour de France. Grafana Labs also helps companies including Bloomberg, JPMorgan Chase, and eBay manage their observability strategies with full-stack offerings that can be run fully managed with Grafana Cloud, or self-managed with Grafana Enterprise Stack. The Grafana stack has grown to include two other open-source projects, Grafana Loki (for logs) and Grafana Tempo (for traces).
The role
As a Growth Engineer, you will partner with our Growth team to drive adoption of Grafana Cloud. Our ideal candidate will be part of a growing team that is hyper-focused on our self-service go-to-market, which spans the user journey: acquisition, activation, retention and monetization.
Reporting to our Self-Serve Growth team, your projects will focus on lowering the barrier-to-entry for those wishing to get started with observability and to craft an experience that is easy to use and simple to understand.
Responsibilities include:
Develop, release, and maintain Grafana plugins based on TypeScript and React.js
Ideate, design, and develop A/B and multivariate tests to drive business outcomes
Develop and maintain accurate product data flows across the full stack
Collaborate with design, analytics, and other product teams on improving user outcomes
Partner with upstream engineering teams to safely and reliably deliver value to our customers
Take an active role in influencing our roadmap and your own career objectives
Requirements:
3+ years of hands-on experience doing on-platform growth and experimentation
Expertise with single-page apps connecting to REST/APIs services
Well-versed in TypeScript, ES6+ and modern CSS
Super data-driven while being open to qualitative feedback
Strong writing and presentation skills
Genuine interest in driving business outcomes through product development cycles at scale
Familiarity with applying a growth mindset to various aspects of your career and work
Excellent product management skills, including spec writing, mockups, and data analysis
Some experience with delivering projects from gathering requirements, brainstorming ideas all the way to shipping a product to the customer’s hands in a self-driven way
It’s an advantage if you:
Have experience with the LGTM stack
You have a background in growth engineering/marketing
Have experience with Big Query / Rudderstack
Have experience with any form of state management library connecting with React.js
Prior SRE experience or market focus
In the United States, the Base (OTE for commission positions) compensation range for this role is $123,933 - $154,915. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process. Benefits include equity, bonus (if applicable) and other benefits listed here.
