Executive Business Partner - CXO
The Executive Business Partner (EBP) plays a pivotal role in supporting organizational leadership by coordinating and managing key business activities to ensure departmental functions operate effectively and efficiently. Acting as a strategic advisor and operations coordinator to their executive, the EBP is integral to driving initiatives that align with the organization’s broader goals.
The EBP advises on special projects and facilitates strategic initiatives as directed by the [insert EOG Leader(s) roles, e.g., CEO, COO, or other senior executives]. This involves managing the full lifecycle of initiatives—from initial concept development to final execution—while maintaining a balance between attending to intricate details and upholding a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s macro vision.
The EBP’s ability to synthesize information, prioritize competing demands, and provide proactive support makes them an invaluable partner to executives and a linchpin in achieving organizational success. This role requires a high level of discretion, adaptability, strategic foresight, and the ability to seamlessly shift between tactical execution and strategic planning.
Essential Responsibilities and Percentage of Time Spent (includes, but is not limited to):
Expense Management: Tracking and processing reimbursements (5%)
Travel Arrangements: Booking flights, hotels, and transportation and managing travel itineraries (5%)
Calendar Management: Scheduling and coordinating meetings and sending reminders and follow-ups (10%)
Inbox Management: Sorting and prioritizing emails and drafting responses (5%)
Meeting Preparation: Preparing agendas and materials and coordinating logistics and technology (10%)
Meetings Participation: As appropriate, attending and facilitating meetings and providing meeting notes and follow-up. (10%)
Event Management: Planning and coordinating events and managing event logistics (5%)
Communications: Drafting and editing internal or external communications, managing communication channels and preparing presentations and reports (5%)
Special Projects: Leading or supporting project initiatives and coordinating project tasks (25%)
OKRs (Objectives and Key Results): Setting and tracking OKRs and reporting on progress (5%)
Board Related Activities: Coordinating and/or preparing board or committee meeting materials and coordinating with board members (5%)
Budget and Financial Oversight: Creating and/or coordinating departmental budgets and monitoring budget allocations. (10%)
Trusted Confidant: Providing confidential support and managing sensitive information
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
At least eight (8) years of experience in a similar role
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
Ability to plan and align work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
Ability to adapt and respond appropriately to complex situations
Required Education & Certifications:
B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience
Compensation:
Qualified candidates can expect a compensation range of $102,000 to 128,000 or more depending on experience.
