Enterprise Account Executive

The Opportunity
The Enterprise Account Executive will thrive at prospecting to identify win-win opportunities for MariaDB and customers and have the persistence, communication skills, and operational excellence to drive qualified sales opportunities. You love challenges and have a strategic mindset and strong collaboration skills. You will lead new business acquisition in the Enterprise market in North America. Reporting to the VP of North American Sales, you will drive revenue growth and new customer acquisition.
If you are an experienced sales professional with a proven track record of exceeding quota by generating and maintaining active engagements with customers and prospects, at times in collaboration with our partners. The ideal candidate should understand and be able to articulate the company's value proposition.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve individual sales targets and contribute to expanding our customer base
Identify and engage with key stakeholders in potential accounts to understand their business needs and present our innovative solutions.
Generate new business opportunities to fuel the sales pipeline
Research and build new and existing accounts (i.e.: adding contacts, emails, strategic calling)
Drive the sales cycle from prospecting and qualifying leads to conducting product demos and closing deals.
Collaborate with internal teams, including product development and marketing, to ensure successful implementation of customer support automation software solutions.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics to provide valuable insights and contribute to our product roadmap
Qualifications
10+ years of consultative solution based SaaS sales experience - database sales experience a plus
Proven track record of success in sales in the software industry
Experience closing deals with US based enterprise clients.
Experience being a sales hunter, focused on new logo and expansion business
Proven ability to manage sales cycles, from lead generation to deal closure, while navigating multiple decision-makers within organizations.
Strong executive communication presence and excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate and sell effectively at a senior level
Familiarity with Sales Navigator, SFDC, Salesloft, Clari is a plus
Location: Remote - USA - East Coast is preferred location
Compensation:
The annual anticipated U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 - $150,000.
Actual salaries may vary and fall outside of this range depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, geographic location, skills, experience, and competencies.
In addition, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than the job description as posted. Salary is one component of MariaDB’s total rewards package, which (subject to eligibility requirements) may include equity ownership, health insurance, life, and disability insurance, funds toward professional development resources, Paid Time Off (PTO), paid holidays, and parental leave, just to name a few!
