Engineering Manager

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a small team of engineers in accelerating the delivery of production-grade code that drives Vidmob’s growth and meets the needs of our enterprise clients. Your role will involve enhancing the developer experience, boosting productivity through self-service capabilities, and overseeing automated infrastructure operations.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to step into a leadership position and drive the success of our engineering team in delivering innovative solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of high-scale software solutions to manage and leverage big data within our platform
Use your expertise in modern programming languages (particularly TypeScript) to create robust and scalable code
Collaborate closely with product teams and other business units to deliver products that exceed user expectations
Take ownership of products end-to-end, including all related infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
Work with big data platforms to harness their capabilities for data processing and analytics
Engage with AI technologies such as NLP, LLMs, computer vision, and generative AI as integral tools in Vidmob’s ecosystem
Mentor and lead an engineering team, fostering a culture of learning and growth
Ensure comprehensive test coverage through automated unit, integration, and API testing
Leverage observability and monitoring tools to ensure systems meet reliability and performance requirements
Maintain a security-first mindset in all aspects of application development
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
1-3 years of experience managing engineers, preferably in a high-scale data environment
Expertise in modern coding languages, with a preference for TypeScript
Proven track record with cloud hosting, data warehousing, and ETL tools
Strong understanding of automated testing and system observability
Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead technical teams
Exceptional problem-solving skills and proactive approach to issue resolution
