The opportunity
As a PCB Designer within our Electrical Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing next-generation Augmented Reality technology, shaping the future of innovation, and transforming the world. We are looking for a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and self-motivated PCB Designer who thrives on tackling challenges and is eager to push the boundaries of their expertise. In this role, you will take ownership of designing and developing high-quality PCB and FPCB layouts, ensuring that all designs meet stringent electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and reliability standards. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals in a supportive and creative environment.
What you’ll do
Layout design and route of high-speed, complex PCBs and FPCBs, ensuring all electrical and mechanical constraints are met
Complete DFM with suppliers to release PCBs for manufacturing
Collaborate with electrical, and mechanical engineers to understand circuit requirements to ensure functionality.
Collaborate with suppliers and HW engineers to define stack-ups, select materials, and apply vendor manufacturing capabilities to the design
Perform component placement, and signal routing for analog, digital, and RF power conversion traces
Validate design and signal integrity while maintaining a design-to-manufacture mindset, aiming for design optimizations to reduce manufacturing costs and improve quality.
Verify all components are placed on the design with no unrouted nets/connections, and ensure all design DRCs are resolved or waived before manufacturing
Create ODB++ packages, Fab and Assembly drawings, and resolve manufacturing challenges
Participate in design reviews and collaborate on design improvements and innovation
The experience you bring
3-5+ years of PCB layout experience
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with PCB layout
Experience designing rigid, rigid-flex, and flexible circuit boards
Proficient in PCB manufacturability, high-speed signal integrity, routing with tight spacing constraints, and power distribution
Proficient in designing high-speed interface boards and components such as MIPI, PCIE, USB, DDR, and boards with RF traces
Experience with constraint-driven PCB design in Cadence/Allegro
Extensive experience with Cadence Allegro tools
Ability to handle multiple and challenging priorities in a fast-paced environment
It’s exciting if you also have
Certified Interconnect Designer (CID or CID+) Preferred
Additional Information
All your information will be kept confidential according to Equal Employment Opportunities guidelines
