Chamberlain College of Nursing is seeking Part Time Online Visiting Professors interested in teaching students in our Doctorate of Nursing (DNP) online program. We build long-term relationships with superior nurse educators who are experts in their field and committed to providing the finest in practitioner-focused education.

The specific course under consideration is:
NR-702: DNP Project & Practicum I
The focus of this course is on broad issues for DNP-prepared nurses practicing across healthcare systems to advance nursing practice. Students identify a nursing practice problem and link the problem and plan for evidence-based practice change using advanced nursing judgment in the practicum setting.

NR-705: DNP Project & Practicum II
The focus of this course is on preparing for evidence-based practice change using advanced nursing judgment in the practicum setting.
Responsibilities
Develops and provides students with an approved Adtalem Global Education syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus, and which includes the terminal course objectives.
Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and update all course materials.
Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including Websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.
Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning.
Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories.
Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.
Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all policies and standards
Qualifications
MSN and DNP (or PHD or EdD) Nursing degree is required (doctorate must be conferred)
Compact nursing license (highly preferred)
2+ years in an academic DNP project faculty advisor required
Online teaching experience required
lllinois RN License will be required to teach all courses. (priority given to candidates who are currently licensed in Illinois)
Must have required subject matter expertise and outstanding written communication skills and familiar with APA.
Must have excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment.
Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply.
Additional Information
Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Online: In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $715/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidate’s education and experience. Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
