What you’ll be doing
The Senior Director/Director, Field Force Operations will be a key member of the Commercial Team and contribute to the development and execution of the US field commercial, operational, and organizational strategies and plans. This position will require a high level of collaboration within the Nuvation organization and report into the VP, Commercial Operations & Strategic Insights.
This is a remote opportunity, preferred location in ET/CT with semi-regular travel to our office in NYC.
You will be responsible for…
Executes key activities within Commercial Operations, including but not limited to:
Size and Structure/Territory Alignment/Targeting/Call Planning
Execute size and structure exercise to optimize number of customer-facing employees, and strategically align their geographies to deliver on Nuvation’s strategic imperatives
Lead strategic call planning process and ensure timely roll out to the field
Work with senior commercial leadership and IT to execute series of dashboards to effectively manage sales force effectiveness metrics for multiple end user groups
Lead annual territory capacity planning . Work with cross-functional strategy teams and sales leadership to optimize customer segmentation, account targeting, and routes to market
Optimize and recommend data sources to be used across all field sales planning activities
Proactively troubleshoot and provide suggestions and solutions as the product moves through its life cycle
Identify trends, forecasts, and provides alerts based on sales data that supports strategic plans
Incentive Compensation
Design fair and accurate incentive plans for field employees that align with corporate objectives in a legal and compliant manner
Develop, test, launch, and maintain the systems and processes to administer these plans
Support the design and equitable assignment of sales force quotas and ensures quotas are optimally allocated to all sales channels and resources in a compliant manner
Work with HR, Finance, Legal and Compliance (and other functions as needed) to continue to ensure that the IC plan and IC SOP is in accordance with Nuvation policies
Lead strategic implementation plan to ensure employees understand the detailed components of their respective IC plan and contests
Manage overall IC plan administration and partner with cross functional partners to make sure payouts are delivered in a timely manner
Continue to monitor the health of the IC plan through the plan period through regular health check analyses
Lead presentations related to IC plans to sales leadership as well as during field sales meetings
Resolve field queries related around IC data and payouts as needed
Develop IC/Goal Metrics training materials for new field personnel
Nuvation fleet/car allowance program for all field employees
Responsible for all fleet communication with vendor and internally.
Set up and lead cross-functional Fleet/car allowance committee with HR, Legal and commercial
Responsible for all fleet reporting including accident and incident management
Annually reviews Nuvation fleet policy with HR, Legal and commercial leadership
Set up fleet training programs
What Knowledge & Experience you'll bring to us...
Bachelor’s degree in a business or scientific related field
8-10 years in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry, including experience in multiple areas within the commercial field operations function and/or in areas directly supported by the function (e.g. marketing, sales, data and analytics, etc)
Familiarity with fast-paced environments and ability to lead day to day details and execution
Ability to lead commercial field operations work streams that are composed of diverse functions
Ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment
Strong communication skills and executive presence
