The Director, Sales Development will enhance existing processes to help the team achieve their individual sales goals. This individual will collaborate with both their own teams, our internal business units and business partners; it is essential that they have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable working in a team environment. Our Director, Sales Development will motivate, enable, and remove obstacles for the team. This leader should have experience in different companies and a proven track record of being able to build a high-performing sales and sales development teams to ensure customer satisfaction. This role will report to the CRO.
Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire inside sales team to against their personal and professional goals
Establish recruiting strategy and career path for team
Train and coach SDRs on inbound lead follow up and qualification, outbound prospecting, time management, objection handling and active listening skills
Set, track, and help lead the team to achieve sales targets for your team
Suggest and implement improvements in the sales administration process
Facilitate and streamline customer engagement process to ensure high customer satisfaction and to enable cross-sell and upsell opportunities
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and report on goals/metrics to senior leadership
Provide ongoing enablement and provide feedback and coaching to SDRs on Contrast’s corporate messaging, sales messaging and sales methodology
Ensure CRM hygiene across the team Coordinate department projects to meet deadlines
Qualifications
5+ years leadership experience of leading inside sales organizations, preferably at a SaaS startup
A proven track record driving success with Sales Dev and Inside Sales teams
Strong computer skills, including Salesforce.com, Salesloft (or similar), Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, MS Excel and other SDR tools
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Contrast’s value
Results-oriented with the ability to lead and inspire teams
Must be detail and process oriented
Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
A strong desire to work in the application security space
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Problem-solving attitude
Ability to travel up to 15%+
What We Offer
Salary and Other Compensation
This position's standard base pay range is $140,000 - $175,000 annually. This position is also eligible for commission and equity package subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider several factors: geography, skill set, experience, job scope, and current market data.
