In this key role, you'll advocate for well-designed systems and foster effective collaboration with product development and sales teams.
What You'll Do
Strategic & Technical Leadership
Drive business objectives for critical GRC products, influencing solutions and roadmaps
Collaborate cross-functionally to develop a high-performing engineering organization, manage budgets, and mentor teams
Accelerate product development and guide architectural decisions, empowering and driving technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions
People & Operations Management
Build and sustain a highly engaged organization by attracting, developing, and rewarding top talent
Implement processes to optimize operational effectiveness, align with company strategy, and improve systems and services
Maintain an atmosphere of respect, mutual support, flexibility, continuous learning, good humor, and commitment to business goals and customer needs
Facilitate continuous improvement of quality and productivity, ensuring the team's success within budgets and timelines
Hold managers accountable for upholding Workiva's performance management practices, including compliance with company policies and equitable rewards and compensation practices
Actively coach managers to model Workiva values and principles, resolve inter-team conflicts, and cultivate trust and psychological safety within the organization
Fulfillment of Customer Requirements
Identify and articulate customer needs, ensuring product alignment with business goals
Lead the product team in understanding and resolving issues, aiming for high-quality deliverables
Uncover opportunities for new product development, recognizing implications for business growth
Architectural Oversight
Evaluate and manage technology decisions, ensuring coordination across product areas
Provide leadership for innovative solutions, supporting product architects, and aligning development teams
Organizational Product Development Planning
Marshal talent, resources, and structures for effective development and delivery
Manage dependencies, identify team capabilities, and ensure quality in finished products
Lead managers and teams by facilitating continuous improvement of productivity and the SDLC process, partnering with cross-functional/cross-tier leaders for opportunities for improvement and alignment
What You'll Need
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years related experience
3+ years of direct people management experience
Preferred Qualifications
Strong emotional intelligence and leadership abilities
Broad industry knowledge with a strategic understanding of technology and architecture
Demonstrated track record of delivering products to external customers
Extensive experience in full-stack development, with a strong focus on technologies such as Kotlin, React, and Dart
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to architect and implement scalable software solutions
Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric mindset
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Travel Requirements & Working Conditions
25% travel for team jams and internal meetings
Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office
How You’ll Be Rewarded
✅ Salary range in the US: $167,000.00 - $284,000.00
✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package
The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant factors.
