About the HRBP team
At Wealthsimple, our HRBP team acts as trusted advisors to both employees and leadership, ensuring that HR practices align with and support Wealthsimple’s overall goals. We are advocates for the Business and People Experience and our partnerships ensure that leaders are creating an impactful, engaging experience for their teams.
In this role, you will act as a strategic business partner with our technical portfolio (including Engineering, Product & Data Science).
In this role, you will:
Lead the development and execution of HR initiatives that drive organizational excellence, foster a culture of innovation, and directly support business objectives
Partner on executive level planning and strategy
Support leaders in solving Employee Relations issues through effective coaching, problem solving and ensuring adherence to appropriate employment laws and policies
Partner with Technical functions (Engineering, Product & Data Science) to foster conversations to promote career development, training and development
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience and partner with management to develop and implement innovative and sustainable solutions
Oversee HR policy creation and compliance to employment laws and regulations
Work with all levels of leadership up to C-suite to develop effective organizational structures to drive organizational health
Consult and coach all levels of management to build and serve high performing, diverse and inclusive teams
Analyze HR trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies
Coach employees and people leaders to role model behaviours that support our company values and culture
Provide interpretation and guidance for the application of HR policies and procedures
What you bring:
10+ years of progressive HRBP experience, including managerial experience. Experience in a similar role within a client centric technology organization is highly desirable.
Proven track record of leveraging extensive HRBP experience to guide long-term strategies and navigate ambiguous business landscapes.
Exceptional strategic thinking and advanced problem-solving capabilities
Resourceful and self-motivated with ability to work in changing environments
Strong personal accountability for high quality work & actively finds opportunities for improvement
Demonstrated experience with coaching leadership and employees through complex and difficult issues
Demonstrated ability to effectively partner and collaborate with all levels of the organization and positively influence teams
