We’re looking for an experienced Design Leader to own and improve our billing and enterprise related experiences at Figma. This involves everything from strategy around pricing and packaging, to supporting the team designing admin and licensing experiences, to figuring out how to guide customers and companies across their journey through various paid plans as they grow. This is an extremely important area for us to improve and get right as we continue to expand our product offering — we know our current model has not scaled well, has many challenges, and needs to be redesigned. We’re looking for a thoughtful leader to guide our design team through this meaningful transformation.
You’ll manage a small team of talented designers to start, though we expect this pillar to grow given its importance to the business. This is a deeply cross-functional role where you’ll partner with product management, engineering, finance, research, data science, marketing, writing, and more to ensure we build the best possible experiences. We love working with hands-on highly motivated leaders with great taste in craft to help guide and shape the future of our design team and Figma’s business.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you'll do at Figma:
Manage and hire a group of world-class designers of all experience levels
Partner with Product and Engineering leads in this area to improve team processes and execution and coach individual teams through setting roadmap and strategy
Develop a perspective on Figma’s approach to billing and successfully advocate for it across the organization
Run and improve team processes like critiques and sprints to cultivate a high performing design culture
Improve Figma’s overall design organization practices
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
5+ years of design management experience
Experience (or at least clear interest) in working on admin or billing related features
Examples of partnering with internal teams to solve a complex business problem
Proven track record as a craftsperson and ability to teach others
Hands on experience with Figma, common design tooling practices, and coaching people
It’s an added plus if you…
Have a knack for visualizing and simplifying complex information
Already have some points of view (or experience with) Figma’s billing related areas
Share an affinity for the fast-paced, changing environment of a start-up, a sense of humor and get-it-done personality
Like to take risks with new and interesting methodologies and ideas; not satisfied with the status quo and always eager to improve both yourself and others
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
