Quinstreet has an immediate opening for a full-time copywriter who has experience in writing Direct Response geared marketing copy to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ideating, outlining, and writing direct response geared copy for our video ads, ad headlines, and advertorials articles. Your marketing materials will be the beating heart of our paid marketing campaigns, being used across all of our verticals and trades to help educate consumers about our valuable services and marketplaces, thus driving conversions and media yield. This is a hands-on role and the ideal candidate will possess expertise in working with media teams and brand owners to craft compelling marketing copy, which is optimized for conversion rates. In this role, you will interface with our Media Team, who will provide you guidance, inspiration, and ideas for concepts they think will convert. You will also interface with our creative team, who will turn your copy into compelling and visually appealing videos, ad images, and advertorial articles. You will be responsible for ensuring that your copy adheres to industry best practice as well as Quinstreet’s compliance and ethics guidelines. We are seeking a self-starter who has experience in direct response marketing and driving needle moving results for digital brands. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and talented individual to join a growing time with lofty goals of growing our Broad Based Media segment into a $100M+ channel.
Responsibilities
Develop new and novel angles and ideas for various marketing campaigns across Quinstreet’s various verticals and trades
Write and execute ads, advertorials, and video scripts
Interface with Media Team and Creative team to define successful angles and create new copy based on those defined angles
Become an expert in Quinstreet’s compliance and ethic’s guidelines, understanding the nuances and writing copy accordingly
Manage multiple projects at once and communicate due dates and timelines with various project stakeholders
Provide regular and proactive recommendations for copy related A/B tests to implement across ads, videos, and advertorials
Contribute to the creative direction of campaigns, providing regular guidance to the creative team on images, videos, and advertorial ideas to be tested.
Provide regular reports and feedback to leaders on the Media Team, updating the team on the status of their respective open items.
Stay updated on industry trends, conducting regular competitive analysis and proactively creating copy and marketing materials based on those findings.
Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence within the team, promoting continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
Consistently and proactively direct and launch new tests and experiments with the goal of further driving yield and margin
Requirements
4+ years of experience in Direct Response Copywriting with a proven track record of success in developing and executing successful copy, preferably in the lead generation space
Detail oriented with an adherence to deadlines and a drive to deliver
Knowledge with project management tools like Asana and Jira
Expertise with Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication skills
Experience in Performance Marketing, ideally lead generation
Effective time management capabilities
Work examples are required
Understanding and knowledge of landing page design and optimizations
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results oriented mindset and a drive for continuous improvement
Strong interpersonal and team-building capabilities, cross team collaboration is crucial
The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 USD to $100,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits; (2) retirement benefits; (3) the amount of paid days off (paid sick leave, parental leave, paid time off, or vacation benefits); (4) any other tax-reportable benefits.
