About the Position
The Demand Generation Programs Manager is a critical role in the development, execution, and optimization of WatchGuard’s digital marketing and go-to-market strategy. This role will not only develop and drive the demand generation strategy for our global audiences and channels but will also lead the team responsible for the execution and optimization of this strategy as well.
The Demand Generation Programs Manager will work closely with other members of the marketing organization, including product marketing, field marketing, digital marketing, channel marketing and marketing ops to drive progress on key programs and initiatives. This role will ensure alignment between the content and campaigns created by the product and channel marketing teams and the go-to-market strategy that will be leveraged by field to drive pipeline.
The Demand Generation Programs Manager is responsible for managing third party vendors, as well as working with marketing and sales operations on the reporting of the performance of programs, channels and tactics to drive optimization.
A Day in the Life
No two days for the Demand Generation Manager will be the same. This role will have the opportunity to execute and optimize the strategy of the demand generation motion to support our core marketing programs, go to market plays and brand awareness content. That will include working hand-in-hand with our product marketing team to coordinate current themes, assets, messaging and aligning that to our demand generation programs, channels and tactics.
You’ll meet with our field marketing teams to review program coverage in their regions and address any additional efforts or needs they may have. You’ll meet with the channel marketing and partner recruitment teams to discuss strategies on third-party sites like CRN. You’ll have bi-weekly check-ins with our Paid Digital team to coordinate on our global PPC and SEM strategy and ensure regular optimization of that program.
Each week, you’ll have a 1:1 with your direct reports to get updates on projects and understand any blockers. You’ll also meet weekly with the Director of Demand Generation Programs to escalate any challenges and blockers and discuss the strategy for the next go-to-market play.
You’ll regularly meet with marketing ops, the digital marketing team and advertising vendors to analyze program, channel and tactic performance which will be leveraged for senior marketing leadership read outs and optimization actions.
You’ll also participate in a variety of cross-functional meetings that include leadership from product, sales, marketing and channel to ensure major initiatives stay on track and share feedback on what’s performing in the field.
This role will have two direct reports:
-Demand Generation Coordinator who owns WatchGuard’s webinar program for demand generation and existing partners, review sites and marketing program emails
-Marketing Manager responsible for our global partner recruitment account-based marketing strategy
This role reports to the Director of Demand Generation, who also oversees the organization’s business development, sales enablement and marketing operations teams. This team rolls into the broader revenue marketing team, creating a perfect mix of sales, digital marketing, ABX, and operations expertise. You’ll be guaranteed to learn from these diverse perspectives, grow in your understanding of global business practices and needs, and have a lot of fun along the way.

Optimize a tracking strategy for the execution of both demand generation programs and go-to-market plays
Assume ownership of all demand generation channels and tactics, either directly or coordinated with your team
Begin participating in key leadership meetings focused on go-to-market play execution and reporting

Lead your first Senior Marketing Leadership demand generation read-out
Provide recommendation on optimization of channels and tactics in Q2
Own cross-functional go-to-market play and promos meetings and action items
Skills and Qualifications
Ability to align content to audiences, channels and tactics
Understanding of programs and plays to be able to ask critical questions to stakeholders to ensure execution is aligned to stated strategy
Tactical knowledge of SEM, PPC, digital marketing, content syndication, paid social advertising, etc.
Ability to manage a team – including both direct reports and cross-functional stakeholders – to meet deadlines and drive progress
Experience in project management – from creating a project plan to check-in with key owners to drive a productive reporting cycle
Understanding of Account-based Experience best practices and processes
Proficiency in using tools like Marketo, 6sense, Folloze, Reachdesk or similar platforms
Experience managing 3rd Party sites including TrustRadius, G2, CRN, TechTarget, etc.
Experience
Minimum of 7 years prior experience in marketing or channel marketing
Prior experience with technology, cybersecurity solutions is a plus
Experience developing and implementing digital demand generation plans that include measurements of success
Sharp marketing skills in building creative and effective presentations, emails, webinars, and other assets
Proven ability to meet deadlines under pressure and ability to work on in a dynamic environment.
Self-motivated, highly organized, detail oriented and a strong sense of accountability, teamwork, and passion
Strong project management skills
Ability to build relationships with peers, resellers and customers
Excellent written and verbal skills, proven effective communication skills
Experience with ABX tools, database management, marketing operations (Marketo) and CRM (Salesforce) tools
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000 USD, exclusive of benefits. This position is also eligible for a bonus of 5% of the base salary. Your base salary compensation will be based on your individual skills, education, and experience. Please keep in mind that the above range is the full base salary range for this role; hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical in order to allow for future salary growth.
