Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional projects using quantitative analysis and advanced data modeling to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities for our security and underwriting business.
Influence leadership & make us more efficient with data-backed recommendations, tracking OKRs etc
Collaborate with Product, Analytics, Engineering, and Business team members to help report on KPIs, OKR performance monitoring, and metrics anomalies
Combine/Integrate new data sources and be able to put together new narratives based on the data
Ability to analyze disparate data sources and synthesize into a narrative of what is happening in the data
E-staff level and board deck preparation and support
Contribute and grow the culture of data excellence on our team by bringing mature empathy, best practices, and processes to our organization
Skills and Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or related technical field
3+ years of experience in related analytical, data science or consulting background
Expert SQL proficiency with proven competencies in designing well-architected data models, optimizing for query performance, and clearly documenting code
Experience working with data in Python, R and similar tools
Work in Tableau, Looker, or similar visualization / business intelligence platform
Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex topics to non-technical audiences
Understanding of and experience with experimental design and statistical methods
Passion, drive, and a deep sense of responsibility. We build the systems that keep us and our customers safe!
Bonus Skills
Experience in insurance, insurtech and cyber security industries a big plus
Exposure to causal inference and other advanced statistical methods
Experience with operational tools and business systems such as Amplitude, Salesforce, Segment, or Zuora
Compensation
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The US base salary for this position ranges from $88,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $108,000/year in our highest geographic market. Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors, which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location. Your recruiter can share more on target salary for your location during the interview process. Coalition, Inc. reserves the right to modify this range as needed.
