Description: Under the direction of the Implementation Manager, the Data Migration Lead will be responsible for overseeing the successful migration of data from external vendor systems into ImageTrend’s platform. This role will ensure accurate, efficient, and high-quality data imports while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the data. Additionally, the Data Migration Lead will act as a critical liaison between clients, implementation specialists, and product teams to ensure seamless transitions during the implementation process.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead end-to-end data migration processes, including analyzing, mapping, importing, and validating data from external systems

  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries for data extraction and transformation

  • Collaborate with clients, product teams, and implementation specialists to understand data requirements and design migration strategies

  • Identify, clean, and validate data inconsistencies, duplicates, and missing values to ensure data integrity during migration

  • Develop and utilize scripting languages to automate repetitive data processing tasks

  • Create comprehensive documentation for data mapping, migration processes, and troubleshooting procedures

  • Reconcile imported data with source data to ensure completeness and accuracy

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data migration challenges efficiently, providing timely updates to all stakeholders

  • Evaluate existing data migration processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Develop and implement best practices, standards, and guidelines for data migration and management processes.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to proactively identify long-term improvements and align migration strategies with overall organizational goals.

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor data migration projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with client and internal requirements.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve data migration methodologies.

  • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and align with organizational objectives.

  • Travel to orientation, industry or company events, or other onsite meetings as required

  • Perform additional duties or tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

  • Proven professional experience in data migration, data analysis, or a related field, preferably in software implementation or enterprise data management

  • Proficiency in SQL, including the ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries

  • Experience importing and managing structured data formats such as XML and CSV

  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and a strong understanding of data schemas

  • Proven experience with scripting languages to automate data migration tasks

  • Strong skills in data mapping and transformation, aligning external vendor data to internal system

  • Expertise in data cleaning, validation, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and completeness

  • Proven experience in project management, including planning, coordinating, and tracking project deliverables to ensure successful outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives, including evaluating workflows, implementing best practices, and fostering innovation to enhance organizational processes

  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product teams, implementation specialists, and clients, to gather and address data requirements

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve migration-related challenges

  • Strong ability to communicate complex concepts in clear, simple, and understandable terms

  • Ability to create detailed documentation and reporting for migration processes, ensuring transparency and process optimization

  • Ability to maintain discretion when handling proprietary and confidential information

  • Enthusiasm for learning and expanding technical and professional skills

  • Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, and a collaborative team-oriented mindset

  • Ability to travel as required, up to 10%

This role can be performed 100% virtually anywhere in the US while following our Remote Work Policy. Deadline to apply is at least 3 days after the posting date listed.

Position Salary Range: The annual base salary range for this full-time role is $85,000 - $115,000 USD + bonus + benefits + perks + community gains. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, education or training and other relevant qualifications.
