Yubico’s Communications Programs Director is responsible for developing, expanding, and overseeing the company's communications CSR strategy, focusing on social impact through its flagship CSR program called Secure it Forward. In this role, you will collaborate across functions to drive measurable impact, strengthen the company’s social and environmental commitments, and occasionally serve as a spokesperson at industry events and in the media. You’ll report to the Vice President of Global Communications.
We’re seeking someone who is eager to put their stamp on an already thriving program to grow it more along with broader company CSR initiatives. The ability to juggle multiple tasks at once, and under tight deadlines, is critical for success in this role. Responsibilities
CSR/ESG Strategy and Execution:
Lead the development, execution, and growth of the company's programs that support its global CSR/ESG strategy.
Create and scale programs that provide cybersecurity solutions to underserved and high-risk communities.
Align CSR/ESG programmatic goals with company objectives, ensuring our programs reflect the company’s mission and core values.
Global Program Management:
Build and manage partnerships with nonprofits, NGOs, journalists that are leveraging our CSR program and government agencies to deploy technology that enhances online safety and cybersecurity education.
Oversee the measurement and reporting of programmatic CSR/ESG metrics and outcomes, ensuring transparency and adherence to ESG standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, PR, product, HR, Engineer and more to integrate CSR programmatic initiatives with broader company strategies.
Work closely with stakeholders to develop initiatives that demonstrate our commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship.
Spokesperson and Advocacy:
Represent the company at industry conferences, public forums, and press engagements, advocating for cybersecurity in underserved communities.
Serve as a thought leader, crafting and delivering compelling narratives that reinforce the company’s position as a trusted provider of cybersecurity solutions.
Network Building and Community Engagement:
Proactively build a global network of partners, thought leaders, and community advocates, creating a pipeline of non-profits and individuals that can benefit from our technology.
Engage with external stakeholders to keep CSR/ESG initiatives aligned with global trends, community needs, and evolving technology.
Skills and experience
Experience: 10+ years of demonstrated experience in corporate CSR/ESG roles, with a proven record of building and scaling CSR programs globally.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with cybersecurity or technology, with an eagerness to learn about new tech solutions and apply them to CSR initiatives.
Leadership: Strong strategic thinking and project management skills with the ability to inspire cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, comfortable engaging with press, media, and external audiences.
Network: Existing network in the non-profit/NGO sector, with a proven ability to cultivate relationships and establish impactful partnerships.
$135,000 - $165,000 a year
