Commission Analyst
About this position:
The Commission Analyst (6 month contract) will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and ongoing management of sales commission models in Anaplan. This contractor role requires expertise in Anaplan to manage commissions and compensation structures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. You will work closely with sales compensation and revenue operations, to ensure compensation data is accurate and timely for both payroll delivery and business reporting. The position will also involve troubleshooting, analytics, and helping to support sales force inquiries and dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Support sales commissions, ensuring that all data flows and calculations are accurate and meet the business’s needs for payroll close.
Work with comp administration to support sales through validations, audit, identifying discrepancies, and day to day commission plan processing in Anaplan.
Generate regular reports on sales commissions, sales performance, and trends, providing actionable insights to key stakeholders.
Perform detailed analysis of commission data to ensure compliance with compensation plans and business policies.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to commission calculations, data discrepancies, or integrations within Anaplan.
Support monthly/quarterly commission payout cycles by ensuring timely and accurate commission calculation and processing.
Assist with the implementation of any new commission structures and changes to existing plans within Anaplan.
Collaborate with IT and business partners to ensure accuracy between Anaplan and other business systems (CRM, ERP, etc.).
Provide additional support to business teams on Anaplan tools and processes related to sales commissions.
Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed to support business decisions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in commission analysis, sales operations, or financial analysis.
Proven experience working with Anaplan, including report building, data validation, and data integration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
Experience with Salesforce reporting.
Strong understanding of sales compensation plans, structures, and calculations.
Experience in data analysis and troubleshooting issues related to compensation models.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in a contract role, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Ability to work independently and proactively without significant supervision.

The annual gross base salary range for this position is $67,000 - $83,000
