The Commercial Director will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team for 3 of our business areas which include, Morrison Data Services, Seeka and Callisto. Responsible for leading the company’s commercial activities, including supporting in sales, pricing strategy, and client relationship management. You will act as the senior point of contact for key clients and stakeholders.
We require someone with a strong background in commercial leadership with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and improving profitability as well as strong multi-tasking, organisational, interpersonal and leadership skills.
This role is remote however you will be required to travel (within the UK)
- Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and supports its growth ambitions.
- Support Sales & Strategy, identifying new market opportunities, securing high-value clients, and expanding the company’s service offerings.
- Drive initiatives to increase revenue and profitability, including the development of new services, optimisation of existing offerings, and exploration of new markets.
- Support client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Develop and manage the company’s pricing strategy to ensure competitiveness while maximising profitability.
- Conduct regular market analysis to inform pricing decisions.
- Lead complex contract negotiations with clients and suppliers, ensuring favourable terms and conditions that protect the company’s interests.
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance the company’s market position and service capabilities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align commercial objectives with business goals.
- Assessing the risks to the business of any new commercial opportunities
- Representing the company externally e.g. at networking events, conferences and exhibitions to enhance and strengthen the company’s profile and optimise all business development opportunities
- Maintaining an awareness of external factors (including competitors) which impact the business
- Have a detailed understanding of the measurements and metrics used to drive the company’s success
- Working as a strategic member of the senior management team.
- Proven experience within a senior commercial leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in driving business growth, increasing revenue, and improving profitability.
- Strong commercial acumen
- Deep understanding of pricing strategies, sales processes, and contract negotiations.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of securing high-value clients and entering new markets.
- Logical and analytical, with a methodical approach to problem-solving
- Excellent presentation skills
- Open to travelling (within the UK)
