This is a long-term contract position with our Client, which is a Fortune-50 Telecom company. The role is planned for 2022 extension and can be fully remote.
Pay range is $65-73/hr and only W2 candidates will be considered for this position.
Top skills our client is looking for include: Ansible, programming (in Python or Go), containerization, and the public cloud.
Cloud Network Automation Engineer - Ansible (REMOTE)
Can be full-time virtual remote, with flexibility.
Responsibilities
· Architecture, design and engineering of automation for zero-touch-provisioning and network device configuration management of cloud infrastructure.
· Drive automation at all stages of software development, release, and operations.
· Provide advanced expertise in the development of network test, validation and integration plans on projects and assurance of network integrity.
· Provide technical guidance and educate the team on CI/CD, automation toolsets and processes.
· Effectively communicate engineering solutions through detailed high and low-level diagrams.
· Participate in conversations with various teams to brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve network automation.
· Design, plan and implement complex underlay networks at data center scale.
Skills and experience
Successful candidates will have:
· Strong Routing and Switching expertise
· Strong skills with automation using Ansible
· Experience with programming languages such as Python, Go
· Hands-on experience with using source control: Git, GitHub
· Experience with Server virtualization, containers (VMware, Kubernetes)
· Experience with Kubernetes networking
· Experience with VMware NSX is a plus
· Public cloud experience is a plus
· Excellent communications skills both verbal & written
· Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
· 5+ years of professional experience in large enterprise or carrier space
· Professional networking certifications a plus, CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent
