Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Carrier Relationship Manager with 5-10 years of experience in the insurance industry or at an Insurtech company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying opportunities and closing new partnerships, analyzing data to drive informed decisions and communicating effectively with B2B partners and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Existing Relationship Development: Own relationships with existing insurance carrier partners including identifying opportunities to grow revenue and sales volume while acting as the day-to-day main point of contact for the carrier.
- Presentations and Proposals: Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations including periodic business reviews and proposals for new products and opportunities.
- Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to ensure our solutions remain competitive.
- Data Analysis: Work with data and BI platforms to assess insurance carrier partner performance, identify issues and opportunities, and make recommendations.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth areas.
- Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle for new insurance carrier partners, from prospecting and qualification to contract negotiation and deal closure.
- Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with B2B customers and internal teams, including product teams, to implement recommendations and evaluate the performance of changes.
Who you are
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in business development or B2B sales within the insurance industry or at an Insurtech company.
- Track Record: Proven success in achieving and exceeding targets, developing relationships and analyzing data.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the insurance industry, including digital customer onboarding and core insurance products.
- Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Executive Interaction: Ability to effectively engage with senior leaders at insurance carriers and decision-makers.
- Data Proficiency: Comfortable working with and analyzing data, with proficiency in CRM software, data analysis, and BI platforms.
- Self-Motivation: Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
