For Data Management & Biometrics (DMB) accounts, we are hiring for a full-time Business Operations Manager to serve as a consistent point of contact from beginning to end of DMB portion of projects with accountability for DMB project deliverables and client satisfaction. Requires a high-level of leadership, scientific background, relationship building and interaction skills, including, but not limited to judgment, problem-solving, influence, persuasion and negotiation, in working with internal operations/project team and client to ensure project success.
Essential Functions
Develops and clarifies DMB project scope in conjunction with Global Project Managers (GPM), client, and internal team.
Reviews the DMB fee and ensures it accurately reflects project scope and communicates this to the team members responsible for providing the deliverables to clients
Works with GPM, assigned DBM team members, and functional managers in the development, assignment and prioritization of work based on the project’s needs and individual’s developmental needs. Coaches DMB team members as necessary to ensure successful project deliverables.
Manages multiple DMB projects for clients.
Works with GPM and DMB project team members to establish priority for awarded work to meet contracted deadlines - takes corrective action to control project timelines
Holds DMB project team members accountable for delivering on project scope & timelines.
Schedules and leads regular DMB project team meetings throughout the progress of a project to keep the team engaged and to keep the project on track with client expectations.
Proactively takes action to ensure the DMB project stays on target through the use of day to day monitoring of projects, schedules and project staff while considering downstream impact of upstream actions.
Ensures adherence to contracted Terms and Conditions and proactively communicates to team members
Drives monthly DMB revenue by making project work priority decisions
Works with DMB team members to build client relationships that results in additional business
Maintains performance metrics for appropriate DBM deliverables
Implements changes when appropriate to remove bottlenecks, improve processes and procedures and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
Updates correct databases, generates required reports on projects to meet and summarizes data for month-end reports as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences or related field required.
Scientific background preferred
Requires high-level skills in the areas of strategic thinking, organization, multi-tasking, relationship-building, communication, judgment, problem-solving, persuading and negotiating.
Minimum 2 years industry experience, or equivalent, required.
3 years project team experience preferred.
Business management experience desired
