We are currently looking for a Backend Developer to join our Item Management team:
Item management focuses on helping people get more out of 1Password by helping them to get more in to 1Password through enabling them to efficiently create, organize and find the information most important to them and securely grant access to information to others within their family or team as well as people who may not yet be using 1Password.

What we're looking for:
A minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience in software development.
Proficiency with the Rust programming language.
Experience in product engineering and working with cross-functional teams.
A passion for solving moderately complex problems, with a proven ability to tackle challenges and propose effective solutions.
A “get it done” mentality - prioritize shipping early and iterating often.
What you can expect:
Define and execute development plans for specific features or initiatives.
Write code and implement features, bug fixes, with a focus on delighting our customers and maintainability.
Collaborate with cross functional teams and/or stakeholders throughout the development cycle to ensure smooth releases
Help support the work of your peers through pair programming and code reviews.
Participate in planning by identifying major tasks and breaking down, estimating, and planning work
Remain curious and seek opportunities to expand and deepen your technical knowledge and leadership skills.
Take responsibility for the overall quality of your team’s projects by overseeing testing infrastructure, strategies, and technologies to ensure high quality work and prevent regressions.
Bonus points for:
Experience with Go programming language
Hands-on experience with scaling applications.
Familiarity with other programming languages.
USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $121,000 USD and $163,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $109,000 CAD and $147,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
