Associate Data Scientist

As an Associate Data Scientist at Roadie reporting directly to the CTO, you will work as part of our innovation team primarily focusing on developing production AI systems safely automating some of our most critical functions. This is a highly collaborative role requiring cross-functional communication and collaboration.
What You’ll Do
Working with LLMs and prompt engineering to facilitate chatbot and chain of reasoning interactions within our Driver and Shipper platforms
Evaluating efficacy of different AI models and upgrading as technology improves without a loss of function
Working with security teams on red teaming and AI safety concerns
Coding in Python and machine learning technologies to include supervised and unsupervised learning techniques in environments like Jupyter
Developing cogent presentations approachable to non-technical audiences
Work collaboratively with Engineers, Product, Customer Operations, Marketing, and Data Analysts across the organization
What You Bring
MS or PhD in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science or a related field
2+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or related
A bias to action and strong work ethic who seeks direction and runs at problems with collaborative and communicative mindset
Extensive hands-on experience with Python
Experience with machine learning algorithms (unsupervised and supervised) and statistical methods
Experience with NLP techniques and vector databases
Experience with evaluating model performance (ROC, F1, etc)
Understanding of modern deep learning techniques such as CNN, RNN, LLMs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bonus
Experience with Langchain, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex platforms
Experience with advanced anomaly detection and forecasting techniques
Experience with libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-Learn, SciPy, PyTorch, Tensorflow, Keras and related
Experience building machine learning pipelines and full loop machine learning systems
