Applied AI Engineer Tech Lead
Lumos is on a mission to revolutionize access management by leveraging AI-driven autonomous agents to create a seamless, intelligent authorization system for companies. By integrating access, usage, spend, and compliance data, we are redefining how businesses manage their apps and identities. We are hiring an Applied AI Engineer Tech Lead to take the lead in developing, prototyping, and productionizing AI models that will transform traditional access governance into dynamic, automated processes.
As the AI Tech Lead, you will collaborate with domain experts, our data engineering lead, and cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready AI systems that balance security with productivity. You will be responsible for designing the AI infrastructure, iterating on AI models, and scaling AI-powered access management products to meet business needs.
✨ Your Responsibilities
Your mission is to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge AI agents that transform our access management approach, moving from manual, rule-based systems to intelligent, dynamic decision-making.
Architect and implement a robust, scalable AI infrastructure that ensures the seamless deployment and maintenance of AI-driven authorization agents in production. You’ll focus on tools, platforms, and frameworks that enable high performance, security, and scalability, setting Lumos up for efficient growth.
Prioritize time-to-value, focusing on accelerating the launch of AI-powered onboarding and policy management products to simplify access for customers and reduce maintenance burdens on administrators.
Collaborate across teams to align AI initiatives with broader business goals. By working closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders, you’ll ensure AI solutions are effectively integrated into workflows, elevating productivity and enhancing user experience.
🙌 What We Value
Proven track record of building and deploying autonomous AI systems or agents for dynamic decision-making in production.
Proficiency in developing AI infrastructure that can reliably handle large-scale, high-volume data requests. Skilled at selecting tools and frameworks that enable AI scalability, optimize performance, and lower total cost of ownership.
Strong Python programming and problem-solving skills. Excellence in clean, efficient coding, rapid debugging, and the ability to adapt to evolving requirements.
Experience working cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver impactful, customer-centered AI solutions. Skilled in mentoring team members and establishing best practices in AI development, including coding standards, testing protocols, and documentation.
💰 Pay Range
$190,000 - $275,000. Note that this range is a good faith estimate of likely pay for this role; upon hire, the pay may differ due to skill and/or level of experience.
