Accounts Payable Specialist II
Pinterest is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist who will be responsible for full-cycle Accounts Payable processing, including examining, verifying, and reconciling a variety of transactions while reinforcing training and providing guidance to stakeholders.
The role will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager.
What you’ll do:
Liaison to offshore AP team as point of escalation to ensure timely remediation of issues
Monitor and enforce the global AP and policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations and best practices.
Responsible for the full cycle of AP process, including interacting with management and other departments for supplier, invoice and payment processing and resolution
Participate in system testing (System liaison)—a key contributor to system business partners on technical issues and design.
Assist in US and international tax compliance and reporting, including 1099s and VAT refunds
Prepare and assist with internal and external audit requests
Prepare AP related closing tasks accurately and timely
Participate and drive continuous improvement projects/initiatives.
What we’re looking for:
5+ years experience in Accounts Payable
Knowledge of P2P policies, procedures, and best practices, as well as relevant tax and accounting regulations.
Knowledge of 1099 processing and maintenance
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills and effective communication skills and customer service approach
Nice to have:
Experience with Oracle R12 and/or Zip
Knowledge of SOX compliance
Familiar with multiple currencies and payment types is a plus
