Our client, an International Insurance Organization, is actively hiring for a long term Accounting and Reporting Consultant to join their team! The primary responsibilities of the position will be provision of accounting and financial close support coupled with financial analysis, research, and technical expertise. The position will aid in ensuring the integrity of financial information and reports. See further details below!

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 4 Years' Minimum Accounting experience, preferably in the property-casualty insurance industry
- Public accounting or Corporate Accounting experience preferable
- Certified Public Accountant certification preferable
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and/or review monthly accounting entries, support documentation and control documentation for general US GAAP and NAIC Statutory (STAT) needs. Activities may include:
- Preparation of quarterly US consolidation elimination entries
- Preparation/review of quarterly US GAAP to STAT entries
- Support various accounting and close needs such as but not limited to reinsurance, investments, and property & casualty loss accounting
- Analysis and recording of subsidiary reports to consolidated ledger, serving as a business advisor to non-insurance subsidiaries.
- Assist in preparing and/or reviewing the quarterly and annual financial statements for US GAAP reporting and US Statutory stand-alone reporting. Activities may include:
- Preparation/review of quarterly US STAT schedules, with a strong focus on STAT specific areas such as reinsurance, investments, and losses
- Assistance in documentation preparation, and coordination of internal and external financial statement audits
- Review, investigation, and reporting of errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and documents.
- Compliance monitoring with promulgated accounting principles and company procedures.
- Perform certain treasury functions, including review and approval of wire requests and monitoring liquidity.
- Assist with quarterly income tax estimates, annual returns, and US STAT provisions, including coordination with outside service provider and Group Tax.
- Assist with annual premium tax returns, including coordination with outside service provider.
- Support regulatory compliance needs, such as state specific fees/data calls; including coordination with internal Compliance team.
- Support Finance wide Modernization efforts and champion of change.
- Support new and strategic transactions relevant to US close and reporting.
- Cross training/ support of other Sr. Financial Analyst's responsibilities, in addition to other duties as assigned by the Controller.
